Protože se těhotenství začíná počítat od prvního dne poslední menstruace, první dva týdny se o těhotenství vlastně nejedná. Teprve se začíná vše připravovat.
V prvním týdnu právě začala vaše poslední menstruace a asi šestý den cyklu začne ve vaječníku dozrávat folikul (dutina vyplněná tekutinou, obsahuje vajíčko).
Ve druhém týdnu menstruace skončila a v děloze začíná narůstat nová prokrvená sliznice. Děloha se připravuje na přijetí oplozeného vajíčka. Vajíčko zatím dozrává ve vaječníku.
A co se bude dít v následujících 2 týdnech?
Čtrnáct dní po poslední menstruaci je ve vaječníku připraveno pěkně zakulacené vajíčko. Blána, která ho obklopuje, pukne, vajíčko „naskočí“ do vejcovodu. Teplota vašeho těla se zvýší o 0,5 stupně. Vajíčko proplouvá vejcovodem do dělohy až čtyři dny. Pomáhají mu v tom miliardy jemňoučkých řasinek na stěnách vejcovodu, které ho správným směrem posunují jako po vlnách na obilném lánu. Vajíčko se setká s přibližně 1000 spermií. Je to udatný zbytek výronu semene, který může obsahovat až 400 milionů spermií. V sekretu pochvy na vetřelce číhá celá armáda žravých protilátek. Děložní hrdlo, ouško jehly na cestě do dělohy, bylo zabarikádováno tuhým hlenem. Jestliže nablízku není žádné vajíčko, spermie se zakutají do stěny vejcovodu a vyčkávají. Maximální životnost je pět dnů. Vítězná spermie se prodere stěnou vajíčka. Pomáhá jí váš hormon progesteron, něco jako biologický „šálek kávy“ pro spermie, který je povzbudí k činnosti. Oplodněné vajíčko se vydává na cestu do dělohy. Poprvé se rozdělí, a potom každých dvanáct až patnáct hodin znovu. Zatím stále velké jako tečka nad i, pátého dne konečně po oplodnění vklouzne do dělohy a začne se rozhlížet po místečku, kde se usadí.
Sedmý den po oplodnění: Kulička buněk se zahnízdí někde v silné, měkoučké stěně dělohy. (Teď můžete malinko krvácet).
Jedenáctý až dvanáctý den: Kulička složená z buněk (říká se jí teď embryo) se konečně usídlila a přitom se napojila na vaše cévní řečiště. Teď je oplodnění dokonalé, nový člověk může v klidu růst.
A pokud se nedostaví menstruace, může to být první známka vašeho těhotenství.
